Loop Eclipse

They came in peace. Allegedly. For Loop Earplugs we created a campaign to launch the ‘Eclipse’: a mask designed to help you sleep through anything. While traveling, on holiday, at home, and even during an alien abduction.

[The project]

A good night’s sleep isn’t always in the cards for everyone. We helped Loop Earplugs turn the plot, introducing Loop Eclipse, a sleep mask that protects your eyes from light, wherever it may come from. In an absurdist hero film with a sci-fi twist, we follow a woman who sleeps peacefully through the night, blissfully unaware of her girlfriend being abducted by aliens right beside her.

How far can you push a sleep mask? With Loop Eclipse, apparently all the way to outer space.

Known for turning hearing protection into a stylish everyday accessory, Loop Earplugs now brings that same philosophy to sleep. Loop Eclipse is a sleep mask designed to completely block out light, giving your eyes the same kind of protection Loop has long offered your ears. To launch it, we wanted to prove that nothing should be able to disturb your sleep. Not even an alien abduction.

We created the ultimate close encounter. Two women are peacefully sleeping when an impossibly bright light suddenly floods the room. One of them wakes up, drawn towards the light, before she is unexpectedly abducted into outer space. Her partner, wearing the Eclipse, remains undisturbed.

We took an absurdist approach to the idea: with an Eclipse, even the most extreme interruption becomes something you can sleep through. To make the impossible feel real, we combined a polished, highly realistic visual style with VFX to create the protagonist’s unexpected departure into outer space. The contrast between the grounded bedroom setting and the surreal abduction makes the moment all the more unexpected.

We shot the campaign in just one day in the studio, creating a 30-second hero film, campaign photography and a 10-second spin-off.
