In collaboration with DPG Media, we developed and produced a striking campaign to celebrate the 75th anniversary of Algemeen Dagblad, one of the largest newspapers in the Netherlands. Throughout its 75-year history, Algemeen Dagblad has been a part of people’s lives during iconic moments, both highs and lows.
 
Our campaign takes a journey through time, showcasing the newspaper’s consistent presence and the profound impact of its front pages across different eras.
 
Bruut Amsterdam handled the entire production, using a smart and integrated approach that combined film and photography in a single shoot completed within a day. We collaborated with director Beer ten Kate, photographer Leon Hendrikx, and assembled a fantastic art department. The entire production was completed in under two weeks.

We go back in time and see the impact of several iconic front pages throughout the years

The visuals feature impactful moments including the catastrophic Dutch floods of 1953, the historic moon landing, Argentina’s narrow victory over the Netherlands in the 1978 World Cup, the tragic assassination of Dutch politician Pim Fortuyn in 2002, and the exciting 2021 Eurovision Song Contest in Rotterdam, where Algemeen Dagblad played a key role as a media partner. These events showcase the enduring influence and significance of Algemeen Dagblad’s front pages throughout history.
